Automation Engineering Technician 3rd Shift

ATI is currently seeking an Automation Engineering Technician for 3rd Shift to join our Cudahy, WI facility. This position is responsible for monitoring our automated systems and troubleshooting with our staff when issues arise. It will also include helping to facilitate production and communicating with staff engineers to resolve issues and improve together. By performing these functions, the electrical engineer technician ensures the smooth and efficient operation of an automated heat treatment plant, preventing downtime and optimizing the plants electrical systems for safety and performance. Strong communication through reports and status updates are required. Essential Functions: + Monitor automated systems for alarms and warnings. + Troubleshoot system and correct issues to also include a report. + Work on continuous improvement efforts through offering ideas and contributing to solutions. + Assist in facilitating production and step in when necessary to ensure safety of coworkers and equipment. + Cross-train to other plant departments to assist in troubleshooting efforts. + Liaison with skilled trades and management to coordinate tasks and projects. + Respond to emergency breakdowns and assist in diagnosing electrical failures in automation systems. + Monitor SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems to oversee plant performance and diagnostics. + Occasional weekends required to support 24/7 operations. + Maintain and troubleshoot the plant's automation systems, including PLCs, HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panels, and DCS (Distributed Control Systems). + Maintain proper lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures when performing maintenance or repairs on electrical systems. + Generate reports on system performance, maintenance activities, and any electrical incidents
