Automation Lead

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Automation Lead to drive excellence in team coordination, project management, and stakeholder collaboration. This role is pivotal in leading automation engineers, managing key projects, and supporting the production of cutting-edge equipment.

  Key responsibilities   Team Coordination: Lead and manage a team of programming engineers by effectively allocating tasks and ensuring alignment with project goals. Project Management: Coordinate programming production projects by attending daily meetings, monitoring progress, and addressing production needs for equipment. Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as the primary interface with all stakeholders, overseeing new equipment development from design through to commissioning. Leadership: Provide strong leadership on critical projects, fostering client relationships and ensuring timely delivery of solutions. Technical Oversight: Lead and support automation engineers in achieving project objectives and delivering high-quality outcomes.

 

You bring these skills, experience & education   Degree in Technical Engineering or Higher Education in Automation and Industrial Control or a related field. Previous experience in leadership role in programming industrial machinery department, preferably in the packaging or manufacturing sector. Strong knowledge of PLC programming languages and motion control systems, preferably with Siemens and Rockwell platforms. Solid understanding of electrical and pneumatic schematics to comprehend the interconnection of components and systems in industrial machinery. Familiarity with industrial safety regulations and standards applicable to packaging machinery.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, with excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Fluent English skills (spoken and written) to communicate effectively with international teams and access technical resources. Availability for occasional travel as required by project needs.   SIG competencies
