Automation Manager

The Operations Excellence & Automation (OPEX) Manager will have direct responsibility of the solutions delivery and compliance pillar. This role is expected to lead and drive the digital transformation initiative of the organization providing the appropriate automation solutions for the organization. Given the global business nature, he/she should consistently collaborate with process experts across global process, SMEs and business stakeholders all throughout the automation project life cycle to ensure specifications and requirements are met and timely delivery of the project pipeline.This role needs to ensure that he/she is abreast of new technology trends within and outside the organization and provide recommendations (as applicable). Other responsibilities include but not limited to staffing management, consistent compliance to regulatory requirements (e.g. SOX 4040), regular cadence and reporting w/ key business partners, and maintaining an open line to provide proper support (pre, during and post deployment) to operations.
Automation Responsibilities:
+ Provide feasibility analysis on processes identified for automation with recommendations for benefits and savings.
+ Define complexity of the process in terms of automation delivery.
+ Build a comprehensive inventory of assets and tools for possible re-use
+ Guide team in using the appropriate approach/methodology (e.g. Agile methodology) for projects assigned.
+ Analyze business processes, document requirements with user acceptance criteria, writing code in C#, VB.net and tool/solution configuration as needed.
+ Work with our automation strategic partners to ensure company policies, processes, tools and standards are adhered to.
+ Ensure SLAs are adhered to when delivering projects and providing support (pre, during and post project).
+ Ensure that automation governance processes and compliance regulation (e.g. SOX 404) are adhered to during implementation and upon transition of automation from development to production.
+ Help in creating an operational support model including upgrades, defect fixes and any process change activities.
+ Manages all aspects of projects from inception through to completion, with a broad variety of sectors to work in.
+ Collaborates across business and technology organizations, providing sound use cases for AI, ML and RPA.
+ Recommend the appropriate and applicable technology that can be used w/in the business space.
+ Liaise with external and internal stakeholders including senior leadership to communicate project progress, issues, risks, and solutions.
+ Builds cross-organizational relationships and influences staff across the operations to drive and realize automation improvements.
+ Staffing responsibilities including but not limited to assigning duties, responsibilities, and scope of job duties of team members. Regular coaching, mentoring and providing feedback (as needed). Appraise performance and provides performance feedback and takes corrective actions. Provide upskilling opportunities and developmental plans to direct reports to make the employees feel more valued as well as contribute more to the business.

Qualifications (non-negotiables)
+ Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
+ Must have at least 5 years of combined experience developing and managing application delivery (e.g. data modeling, analysis, design, integration, evaluation, and development) is required, with at least 3 years of leadership experience. (people manager)
+ Good understanding of tech infrastructure setup (for low code/no code and full tech stack) and assisted vs unassisted solutions implementation (Python – minimum of 2 years professional experience, they must have experience in deploying python related projects)
+ Strong working knowledge of automation practices with emphasis on low code platform and full tech stack.
+ Working knowledge of all phases of automation development lifecycle and information lifecycle is required
+ Advanced knowledge and proven expertise in project management tools .
+ Demonstrable experience in being agile such as changing priorities in a fast-paced environment yet still able to balance compressed time frames all while maintaining the highest levels of customer service.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to interact confidently and professionally with all levels within the organization, including senior leadership.
+ Keen attention to detail, commitment to quality, critical thinking, and exceptional judgment.
+ Takes proactive ownership of issues and challenges, provides solutions over excuses.
+ Strong work ethic and high initiative.
+ Team player with forward lean and optimistic outlook.
+ Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor others as well as strong conflict management and facilitation skills.
+ Prior VB.NET, C#.NET or Java experience (Visual Studio 2015/2010, Eclipse)
+ Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio, or equivalent commercial diagramming applications.
+ Willing and able to work on any and flexible shift to meet business need
+ Certified in any RPA Tool (e.g. UiPath, Power Platform)
+ Exposure or experience in the assessment and testing of Internal Controls in accordance with Compliance regulations (e.g. SOX 404)
Qualifications (negotiables)
+ Understanding of ML, AI, and Data Analytics is desired.
+ Automation Training and/or Certification is highly preferred.
+ Six Sigma Trainings and/or Certification (GB, BB, MBB) – ideal but not mandatory
+ Agile and/or Scrum certification is highly preferred.
+ Project Management Trainings and/or Certification (PMP, Prince2, Scrum Master) – ideal but not mandatory
+ Knowledge of Citrix environment with RPA Tools + Knowledge of OCR libraries or tools is a plus
