The Automation Manager role involves the implementation and maintenance of automation systems to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality in the Flex Tijuana Facility.
The role typically involves leading automation projects, managing teams, and ensuring seamless integration of automated solutions
What a typical day looks like:
Develop and implement automation strategies to optimize new business or existing production processes.Lead automation projects from planning to execution, ensuring timely delivery and budget complianceManage a team of automation mechanical engineers, PLC programmers, electrical engineers, equipment Integrators and techniciansProvide expert knowledge of products and automation solutions for the internal and external projects.Identify opportunities for process automation multiple production areas.Oversee the design, development, testing, and deployment of automated systemsEnsure compliance with the medical industry standards, (IQ/OQ/PQ) and GMPs company policies.Collaborate with IT, engineering, quality, maintenance and operational teams to integrate automation solutionsMonitor system performance and troubleshoot automation-related issuesProvide training and mentorship to his direct reports (Electrical & Mechanical Engineers) as requiredStay on top of the latest automation technologies and best practices.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
BS degree in Engineering electronics, mechanics, mechatronics or similarFluent English, written and spoken.Knowledge in Automation-Maintenance and EngineeringExperience in the Engineering /Automation roleProficiency in PLC (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Omron & Keyence etc.Experience in vision systems (Keyence, Cognex and ViDi technology.Experience with Solid works and electrical controls.Strong project management and leadership skills.Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilitiesStrong communication skills to collaborate with customer, suppliers and staff managementExperience in medical industry is desirable.What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:
