Automation Software Engineer/Senior Engineer

Job Summary

If you are a AUTOMATION SOFTWARE ENGINEER professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you! Based in our Nilai, Negeri Sembilan location; you will work closely with operations team to do needs analysis, design, implement and digitalize existing operations flow, creating diagrams, flowcharts and models that illustrate process flow, develop and implement software to digitalize end-to-end process. Join our growing team!

 

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

To support company goals, policies and objectives. Digitalize Manufacturing environment (wireless technologies, digital work order etc) by working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Operations on digital improvement opportunities including requirements gathering, software solution, testing, implementation and sustainability.   Data Visualization – Work with on-site team to identify, data visualization, software solution to deliver business value and streamline factory processes.   Analyze needs of users at assembly to digitalize and simplify manual processes. Design, develop and test software in processes that has been identified that requires improvement. Ensure software projects schedule meets committed dates. Ensure continued functionality of a program during maintenance and testing of software On site to resolve / trouble – shoot programs issues faced by end users. Document each aspect of a system or application as a reference for future upgrades and maintenance. Develop the necessary procedure, provide training and implement new systems to be used at shop floor. Work in a team environment to meet production and project related goals and cost objectives

For This Role, You Will Need:

Minimum 2 to 5  years' experience in a manufacturing environment Proficiency in in an Object Oriented language in C#, C++, ASP.net, JAVA, SQL, and Automation PLC system Proficiency with network communications and network analysis Experience with database management (SQL), Microsoft Power Apps and other digital related work deliverables (data visualization, data analytics and automation) Affinity with mechatronic system Analyze and understand manufacturing, product requirements and functional specifications Identify and execute best test strategies and define design specifications Understanding of electrical engineering principles 

 

Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:

Bachelor’s degree or Master in Engineering/ Computer Science/ Information Technology  Good communication skills in a global environment Result oriented with strong analytical skills as well as team player. Self-organized, self-motivated, proactive character and stress resistant.
