Compensation: $88K-103K/hourLocation: Midland, TX Assignment Duration: DirectWork Scheduler: M-F / 40 hours+Benefits: Client provided comprehensive benefits including 401(k)Regular travel to to field locations is required for both the Midland and Delaware Basins Responsibilities Experience with programmable logic controllers (AB, ABB, FB, ROC, IDEC & ScadaPak)Good understanding of IEC-63111-3 programming languages (ladder logic)Can perform tasks like downloading/uploading programs, troubleshooting, and implementing new basic or intermediate logicGood understanding of local HMIs (Redlion, Beijer, IDEC, Phoenix) Understanding programming process/ troubleshootingEvaluate, troubleshoot, and correct control system wiring for transmitters, switch devices, and PLC output commands to an array of control devices which may include valve actuators, positioners, electric motors, etcInspects, calibrates, and repairs end devices such as transmitters, switches, fire eyes, hazardous gas detection, level detection, burner management systems, loop tuning, etcBecome familiar with the SCADA system (ZD SCADA) and learn to validate incoming device dataFamiliar with piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), control panel and junction box diagrams, process flow diagramsMaintain flow computers and remote terminal units (RTU) I/O wiring and configurationGood understanding of Ethernet I/P and Serial Radio installation, configuration and troubleshootingMust have solid knowledge of electrical theory and controls for low voltage systems. Be able to troubleshoot problems related to control systems rated at 120 VAC and lessOversees contractors as needed, providing specialty services (Quality Assurance, Quality Control)Familiar with NEC code and API code regulations regarding area classification and requirements for automation/electrical components located within classified areasFollow safe operating practices and ensure compliance with client Environment, Safety & Regulatory requirementsAssure all work performed adheres to client standards.Perform all other duties as assigned Qualifications Trade school graduate or equivalent experience3-5 years Oil and Gas Industry experience requiredUses strong communication skills, interpersonal skills with ability to build relationshipsKnowledge of basic oil and gas processing equipmentAbility to read blueprintsBasic computer skills (e.g., e-mail, Word, Excel)Ability to walk along open range/country, dirt roads, inclines/declines, etc. to reach equipment and climb in/out of ditchesProven ability to multi-task and meet stringent deadlines with a positive and helpful “can-do” attitudeDemonstrated knowledge of safe work behavior and habitsAbility to work independently and effectively with a diverse groupWork well with all field team members along with all office support needsAbility and willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
