**Job Title: Automation Technician** **Job Description** + We are seeking a skilled Automation Technician to join our team + This role involves working closely with Automation Engineers to ensure that equipment is operating according to specifications + The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, debugging, start-up, and programming of automated equipment and upgrades **Responsibilities** + Work closely with Automation Engineers to ensure existing equipment is running in accordance to specifications + Troubleshoot, debug, start-up, and program automated equipment and upgrades + Serve as the technical expert for electrical circuits, program logic controls, vision inspection, and automation + Coordinate the development and maintenance of effective maintenance specifications and preventative maintenance programs + Participate in the design of automated machines, equipment, systems, devices, and fixtures + Recommend equipment improvements and manufacturing methods + Assist maintenance personnel with diagnosing software and electrical system problems + Support maintenance with equipment repairs in the event of a failure + Collaborate with production, maintenance, and engineering to optimize equipment performance + Assist in executing Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for equipment changes + Maintain flexibility for off-shift availability and representation **Essential Skills** + 2+ years of experience as an Automation Technician working on controls + Demonstrated oral and written communication skills; customer-focused + Understanding of manufacturing, assembly, sequencing, and equipment principles + Familiar with HMI and able to diagnose issues by connecting a laptop + Proficient in PLC programming, particularly with RSLogix + Experience with troubleshooting electrical systems, wiring, and making minor adjustments + Able to read blueprints and schematics + Capable of low voltage wiring (120V) and resolving wiring issues in panels **Shifts** Openings on multiple shifts **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $36.00 • Medical, dental & vision • Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital • 401(k) Retirement Plan – Pre-tax and Roth post-tax contributions available • Life Insurance (Voluntary Life & AD&D for the employee and dependents) • Short and long-term disability • Health Spending Account (HSA) • Transportation benefits • Employee Assistance Program • Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave) **Workplace Type** This is a fully onsite position in Warren,MI. **Application Deadline** This position will be accepting applications until Dec 28, 2024. **About Aerotek:** We know that finding work is hard, and finding meaningful work is harder.
