Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Java, Selenium/Cypress, and Rest Assured for web applications and APIs. Write test cases in Behavior Driven Development (BDD) format using tools like Cucumber to align with business requirements. Develop, execute, and maintain automated regression, functional, and integration tests to validate software functionality. Integrate automated tests into Jenkins pipelines for continuous testing in CI/CD workflows. Analyze test results and generate detailed reports to provide feedback to the development team. Collaborate with developers and other QA engineers to understand requirements, design test plans, and enhance overall test coverage. Troubleshoot and debug test failures, ensuring effective defect management. Maintain and improve the automated testing framework and test scripts for scalability, efficiency, and robustness. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of test progress and defects using test management tools like Jira or similar.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in automation testing with Java and Selenium for web-based applications or Cypress. Strong understanding of RESTful Web Services and hands-on experience with Rest Assured for API testing. Experience in BDD frameworks such as Cucumber and knowledge of Gherkin syntax for writing test scenarios. Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Jenkins for continuous integration and automated test execution. Strong knowledge of version control systems, preferably Git. Familiarity with test management tools like Jira, TestNG, or JUnit. Excellent debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills to identify and fix issues in the automated test scripts. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
