Automation Test Technician

About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has an excellent opportunity for an Automation Test Technician. Responsible for testing of low complexity low voltage panels, evaluating project conformance and following applicable standards, under supervision. Responsible for clarifying with other areas any discrepancies identified during test, as well as documenting tests results, under supervision.

Primary Responsibilities:

Support the execution of final tests to control panels with lower complexity such as small A line packages - catalog - and simple custom panels, such as modifications to catalog panels. Operate measurement equipment to support the execution of final tests to control panels under scope. Verify (under supervision) components, layout, labels, enclosure characteristics and wiring, within scope. Perform (under supervision) the tests described in inspection plans and record them in SAP. Follow safety procedures related to activity and equipment used. Record nonconformities in appropriate forms and/or system and prompt production rework if needed.

Education:

High School or GED.

Knowledge / training:

Instruments and equipment used in line inspections and pre-test activities of panels under scope (required). Understanding of electrical schematics and wiring diagrams (required). Basic knowledge of related WEG's processes and procedures (required). Understanding of funtionality of basic WEG / Automation components such as contactors, relays, CB, switches, indicator lights. Knowledge of 3 phase power and related safety procedures and protocols (required). Basic knowledge of motor starting types (DOL, SSRV, VFD) (required). Understanding of UL 508A. Good knowledge of SAP.
