SUMMARY
Create winning design proposals for future Subaru vehicle exteriors, interiors, and related components. Incorporate insights about future U.S. market and customer trends in all design proposals.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Consistently produce the quantity and quality of work required to be competitive during company-wide design selection reviews.
+ Create and refine design proposals in 2D: sketches and renderings using analog and digital tools (ex. pen/pencil, Photoshop).
+ Create and refine design proposals in 3D: digital models and rapid prototyping (ex. Blender, SubD, Bambu, Cura).
+ Visualize design proposals in photorealistic 3D environments using digital tools (ex. Blender, Unreal, VRED).
+ Perform research and data analysis tasks including continuous monitoring of U.S. market and customer trends.
+ Effective and engaging verbal + visual presentations (2D, 3D, VR) Work fluidly with senior designers, modelers, and management team to refine and improve design ideas.
+ Contribute to a creative team: demonstrate an effectual point of view and the ability to elevate the overall quality of department work.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide support and output for various tasks supporting SBR, SOA, and NASI requests.
+ Travel locally, nationally, and internationally as required for research and design projects
+ Provide ideas and support for continuous improvement of department processes and operations.
+ Actively seek out new work experiences and self-improvement opportunities.
+ Stay informed of and follow all SOA and NASI policies.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
+ Expert level 2D sketching + rendering skills using analog and digital tools.
+ Expert level 3D digital sketch modeling skills.
+ Advanced 3D visualization, animation and multimedia editing skills.
+ Effective market and trend research skills: collect data, analyze, organize, and present to a variety of audiences.
+ Excellent creative problem-solving skills.
+ Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
+ Ability to self-critique and actively improve own skills and creative capability.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS degree with 2 to 4 years of experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
+ Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)
+ Travel Required: 10%
COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $57500 – 75000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
