Job Summary
Responsibilities include management oversight of production, workload scheduling, policies/procedures
management provides production staffing assistance, performs production work as necessary and instills
quality and safety consciousness among all production employees.
Essential Job Duties
• Oversee overall production assignments to ensure quality control and maximum productivity of employees
by Production requirements.
• Plan production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products.
• Review production orders or schedules to ascertain product data such as types, quantities, and
specifications of products and scheduled delivery dates to plan department operations.
• Review production and operating reports and resolve operational, manufacturing, and maintenance
problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays.
• Encourage employee suggestions, develop safety awareness among employees, and enforce all applicable
safety regulations and Company practices and procedures.
• Review maintenance checklists and equipment repair schedules on a regular and frequent basis.
• Supervise hazardous waste programs and all other applicable governmental regulatory agency programs.
• Supervise the maintenance of production equipment.
• Assure all materials needed for optimum economic production are available.
• Ensure proper material controls and actively participate in the monthly inventory process.
• Perform a monthly inventory of production supplies.
• Perform production work as necessary.
• Initiate and support the continual improvement of LKQ Corporation's quality improvement system.
• Assumes other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities (Direct or Indirect):
• Manage the work of others, including planning, assigning, scheduling, and reviewing work, ensuring quality
standards. Responsible for hiring, terminating, training and developing, reviewing performance, and
administering corrective action for staff.
