Job Description:

As part of Field Applications Engineering team, you will serve as a primary technical contact for Micron’s Automotive customers and various departments within Micron. This position is located in Munich (Germany).

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

Engage with customer development teams to identify & support design-in activities, drive design wins and qualification of Micron Automotive products in customer applications.Providing technical support to customers and field sales including technical problem solving, customer qualification issue resolutionPresent and communicate customer focused collateral (e.g., product specifications, design guide, cross references, datasheets, system compatibility guides, etc.)Act as a trusted advisor to the customer by providing memory architecture advice, memory product recommendations, delivering technical trainings and developing solutions.  Possible solutions may be executed independently and/or evolve into a collaboration with other internal cross-functional teams based on the scopeWork closely with the Sales Account Team to develop and execute a strategic plan & objectives. Build technical relationships with key decision makers at customer development team.Assist in troubleshooting and providing test support as needed; be the central point of contact during system related escalations between customer and factory teams, working with cross functional groups until issue resolution has been delivered to the customerWork with internal marketing and development teams to determine the feasibility of new products or features and ensure customer specifications are met.Coordinate lab-related activities that support the design-in/validation process, including schematic/board layout reviews, design validation and system level testing

Successful candidates for this position will have:

Minimum of 5 years of experience in electronic board and system design, product, test, system validation, application engineering, memory.Systems experience, covering some/all of following:Embedded Systems hardware architecture, design, test and troubleshooting.Volatile, Non Volatile and Mass Storage Memories usage in Automotive or Embedded systems, knowledge for NOR, DRAM, mNAND (eMMC, UFS), SSDAble to demonstrate problem solving and troubleshooting skills including lab testing and debug (experience with oscilloscope, logic and protocol analyzers)Excellent verbal, written, and customer communications skillsThe ability to be self-motivated, take initiative, and to work independently or in a team environment.The ability to work with engineers across multiple disciplines, as well as customers of various positions including executive level interaction.Language: Fluent English, both oral and written. German language is a plus.Flexibility to travel as required, including international.Advantageous - High Speed circuit design experience, Experience working as an applications engineer for a semiconductor manufacturer

Education:
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field
