Automotive Roving Technician

Essential Functions • Successfully complete automotive service and repair work qualified to perform. Perform work according to safety guidelines. Complete vehicle inspection form and vehicle diagnostic form and submit to service advisor. Complete documentation of repair work completed.• Advises service advisor of change in a vehicles status. Inspect vehicles for additional needed repairs or maintenance and recommend them to the service advisors for sale to customers.• Responsible to maintain a safe and clean work area.• Study technical bulletins, industry magazines, and technical web sites.Additional Information for the Mobile Technician • Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record• Each mobile technician would be provided a pickup and an enclosed trailer to allow for their tools to be transported to different COR locations as needed• The included vehicles upkeep, fuel and maintenance would be supplied at COR expense• The mobile technician would be skilled and experienced enough to perform all of the work required at a minimum Master Tech level (A1 through A8)• The position would be an hourly position of with a productivity requirement set at 70% of FR minimum. (Reduction in expectation due to the nature of the mobility between stores)• Must be a current technician at COR for at least six months to be eligible• The pay rate is equal to our current tech rates at either Master or L1 whichever is greater and the techs are qualified for and equivalent to performing at 100% efficiency.Education and/or Experience: • Technical Training• 3-5 years’ experience• 2 ASE Certifications required or equivalent experience.• Candidates will be considered if there certifications have expired within the last 2 years.• Candidate will be required to re-certify in at least 2 areas at the next testing cycle as a condition of employment.Physical Demands: • Required by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
