Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.The work model for the role is: remoteThis role is contributing to the Electrification Smart Buildings, Smart Power and Distribution Solution divisions in the US.You will be mainly accountable for:•\tDevelop and execute the strategic plan for the ABB Electrification portfolio, aligning with the company’s overall vision and goals.•\tLead cross-functional teams to drive the development and implementation of technologies and solutions targeting the segment.•\tIdentify and pursue new business opportunities in the electrification space, including partnerships, collaborations, and market expansion.•\tCollaborate with marketing and engineering for product development life-cycle, from concept to launch, ensuring timely and successful delivery of electrification projects.•\tMaintain pipeline of key automotive opportunities for ABB Electrification by working with the sales and marketing teams. Candidate would be responsible for meeting or exceeding the annual budget for the segment related to ABB Electrification.

Qualifications for the role

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field. Marketing related degree is a plus.Minimum 12 years of experience within the industry. Automotive and/or automotive racing knowledge is a plus. Strong understanding of the automotive market, including technology trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive landscape.Experience in conducting market analysis and business development plans with solid structured approach.Technical background, experience in the automotive market preferred.Willingness to travel as needed, including multiple events on weekends.Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
