Job Description

Responsible to launch new components for respective technology at suppliers                                Plan, initiate and control failure prevention orientated, advanced quality management measures in the design / development phase for supplied parts and services (Feasibility Commitment, Project Reviews, Run & Rate, Safe Launch Concept, Quality Control Plan etc.) to ensure that our components meet all defined requirements.Review of sourcing documentation and preparation for team decisionWork in international and multi-disciplinary teams including e.g. Purchasing, Engineering, Project Management, local SQM departments, Customer Quality and Logistic.Qualification, introduction and release of suppliers, technologies, and manufacturing processes by VDA6.3 Audits with high focus on early involvement and failure prevention.Drive escalation topics in order to solve the problem in a systematic manner, e.g. Red AlertsProject leader (coach) for Supplier Quality Improvement ProgramDeploy lessons learned / read across through the Category, organization and towards suppliers.Validate/approve new products launch at suppliers

 

Qualifications

Essential Skills/Qualifications:

Strong Knowledge in quality related methodologies and standards Automotive Core tools (FMEA, 8D review, 5why, Problem Solving, etc)Experience in performing process audits based on VDA 6.3.Experience in automotive industry and standards (IATF 16949)Able to work independently and also in team-based environmentWilling to travel to be onsite at supplier and short notice in case of escalation.

 

Desirable Skills/Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in electrical & Electronic and/or Mechanical Engineering.Working experience in Supplier Quality Management/ Quality managementGood understanding of Component Introduction in design and development phase and APQP managementGood knowledge in process for plastic Over-molding/molding, stamping, press-fit stamping, sub-component assembly, automated inline testing, wire cutting/terminating for cable assemblies
