Automotive Technician
Job Title: Automotive Technician/Mechanic

Job Description

Join our team to build a fleet of prototype vehicles from the ground up. You will troubleshoot, test, and configure these vehicles, collaborating closely with engineers, electrical technicians, and mechanical technicians, all supported by documentation technicians. The fleet will span a variety of technologies and powertrains, including electric and alternative fuel systems. Work is done in a clean R&D shop.

DUTIES:

You will be assigned to assemble and support the testing of vehicles from the ground up, starting from the frame rails. May be bolting on brackets, installing wiring and cabling, or working with engineers to problem solve, troubleshoot, etc. By the end of every day, they should be able to see advancement in their respective builds. The environment is a shop, where they will be working onsite with a collaborative team of engineers and technicians.

Other Job Responsibilities may include:

Assist and perform vehicle build activitiesCheck and verify operation of the electric and mechanical systems installed to the vehiclesAssist in troubleshooting of any issues foundBuild, modify, fix mechanical, pneumatic, electrical systemsHelp troubleshoot any issues seen in the vehicle during verificationSupport issue resolution in conjunction with the rest of the teamDocument any issues found and the steps taken to resolve the sameDiscuss and present any electrical and mechanical issues found during the entire lifecycle of the vehicleCreate/modify/maintain wiring harnesses and test the connections as required
