We are Now Hiring a Technician in Cortland, NY!           Transdev is proud to offer:     $23.05 / hour  Attractive benefits package, including 401(k) with company contribution, medical, dental and vision   Paid time off & vacationResponsibilities:  Diagnoses and performs accurately all phases of vehicle and equipment repair.Removes, cleans, repairs, and adjusts vehicle components (Engine Emission Components, Driveline Components, Electrical/ Electronic Components, Brake/Suspension/ Steering/ Exhaust, Cab/Chassis, Hydraulics)Ensures work orders are completed properly and accurately. Selects appropriate course of action for repairs. Ensures safe use of power and hand help tools. Evaluates completed work prior to release – seeks supervisor approval when required. Performs road calls and emergency services as necessary. Moves vehicles safely between job and work area. Actively participates in safety or educational training as required. Continuous ASE re-certification is required to remain in job classification.    Requirements:       High School Diploma, GED or equivalent Technical training preferred. Possess CDL Operator’s license with required endorsements. Minimum 1 year direct automotive repair experience (Transit or Heavy Duty Fleet preferred).  Demonstrated experience monitoring and meeting PM schedules and operations any of automotive, diesel, or CNG fleet repair shop equipment.  Minimum of 2 ASE certifications    Must have an appropriate mechanic’s tool set.  Excellent communication skills.
