We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Automotive Technician to join our team in Brockport, United States. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic services, routine maintenance, and repairs on various vehicles while delivering exceptional customer service.
+ Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics to identify required repairs accurately
+ Perform routine maintenance services and repairs according to manufacturer specifications and company standards
+ Complete thorough courtesy inspections on every customer vehicle, identifying and documenting additional needed services
+ Communicate effectively with customers about vehicle issues and proposed solutions
+ Assist in inventory management, including stocking parts and tires
+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards
+ Operate and maintain shop equipment safely and efficiently
+ Perform test drives following company policies and local traffic laws
+ Stay current with automotive technology and complete required training modules
+ Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality service
+ High School Diploma or equivalent
+ Valid driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR)
+ Proven experience in automotive maintenance and repair
+ Strong diagnostic skills and ability to identify root causes of vehicle issues
+ Excellent customer service and communication skills
+ Proficiency in using computerized diagnostic equipment
+ Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
+ Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various positions (standing, kneeling, bending, etc.)
+ Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
+ Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency
+ Basic set of personal tools required (or willingness to participate in company's tool purchase program)
+ ASE certification preferred
+ State Inspection license preferred (where applicable)
+ Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying updated with automotive technology
Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
This job operates in an automotive shop environment. The job will have exposure to a moderate noise level, adverse weather conditions, chemicals, odors, dirt, and dust. Technicians must be able to complete the following but not limited to:
+ Ability to work flexible hours, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
+ Must be able to see, hear, lift, carry and stock merchandise and supplies up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
+ Frequent standing and walking for long periods of time.
+ Frequent reaching overhead and below the knees, including squatting, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting.
