Experience and Qualifications

Manage the automotive shop;coordinates repair assignments and establishes work practices Assign repair tasks to offender personnel; monitors and report offender time using the appropriate time cards Instructs offender workers on job plans and inspects their work throughout projects to ensure efficient use of materials/supplies and the quality/quantity of work being performed Train offenders in equipment maintenance and repair. Monitors and reports offender time according to established policies and procedures. Plans jobs and order materials for timely completion of projects. Complete purchase orders for tools,equipment, suppies, vendor services, etc. Ensures purchasing order procedures and regulations are followed. Perform preventative maintenancetask and all minor repairs. Properly document preventative maintenance work, repairs, and equipment/parts used according to established policies and procedures. Provide timely response to client concerning work status and complaints. Monitor vehicle and equipment maintenance schedule to plan inspections and repair assignments, diagnose repairs or maintenance requirements. Inspect the completion of all work assigmentsto ensure quality workmanship. Inspect institutional vehicles to ensure that assigned equipment meets state safety inspection requirements. Coordinate annual state vehicle inspections. Must be computer literate. Must be able to pass pre-employment drug test and criminal background check.
