Hourly base pay rate is $16.20 - $24.28/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

General Service - Automotive Technician

Perform preventive maintenance: change oil, oil filter, fuel filter, transmission flush, and inspect vehicle for mechanical flaws, as well as changing and repairing tires.

 May repair and maintain shop equipment.

 Create and maintain vehicle history and maintenance records. May up fit vehicles with necessary equipment.

 Know and follow all safety procedures.

Qualifications:


 

Minimum:

1+ years of related work experience servicing vehicles.  

 Ability to drive standard and automatic transmission vehicles.

 Valid driver’s license and safe driving record. 

Preferred:

High Diploma or Equivalent

Physical requirements:

Frequently required to stand, walk, reach, talk, hear, stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, squat, climb, and tolerate excess noise levels and car exhaust.

Vision requirements: close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

To be employed in this role, you’ll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
