This is where YOU fit in: Navy Exchange Monterey is in need of a Automotive Service Technician to answer the call; a team player who is dedicated to supporting our local Naval community, and operational successes on a day to day basis. Your work will make an impact and support how our organization serves the best customer – our Military patrons and their families.

So, what does a typical day look like? What does it take to succeed?

Serves as initial customer contact in the Automotive Service Center. Advises customers with automotive service needs, determines work and repairs tobe accomplished. May perform vehicle maintenance work.Meets all customers and assists them with their automotive needs. Based on a sound and visual inspection of customer's vehicle, determines work,parts, and repairs required to correct malfunction.Completes applicable customer service forms for all work, indicating parts and supplies number, description and price. Calculates cost of labor utilizing a current Chilton Labor Guide and Navy Exchange Pricing Guide. May issue parts and supplies to mechanics.Processes special orders for automotive replacement parts to complete a specific job or for "Do-it-yourself" customers. Notifies such customers whenorder is recieved and maintains log of "Special Order" merchandise. May place orders for parts.
