The Autonomous Vehicle Training Manager directly oversees the training team and ensures the successful implementation of training programs and processes. Effectively communicates with all levels of Management as well as clients regarding plans, adherence to guidelines established and escalates issues accordingly.It is important to maintain a high level of professionalism and responsibility when interacting with internal and external customers, team members and Managers. Safety must be at the forefront of all planning and decision making.

Key Responsibilities: Oversee AVTS (Training Supervisors) job functions to support business training needsConduct AVTS reviews to ensure steady growthVerify methods and metrics aimed at team development and growthParticipate hiring process for training leadership rolesOversee training activities within assigned training programsBasic knowledge of unassigned training programsFrequent communication with training and operations Managers for planning purposesOversee the development and maintenance of strategic training plans and rostersReview and advise on training plans based on communicated forecastCommunication of training plans to the customer and the impacted team(s)Drive adherence to the training plan TAS committed to by working with the different POCsEnsure maintenance of the Training RostersVerification of training needs and insurance of updated training plansCommunication training plans with Operations teamOversee Transdev training eventsVerification of booking of needed training facilitiesVerify required vehicles are available and reservedVerification of Instructional  team SOP and training compliance Travel requirement outside of immediate area: 30%All other duties as assignedRequired Education and Experience:3+ years Management experience3+ years training experienceMust be at least 21 years old;High school diploma or equivalency requiredBS/BA degree required, or 4 years of relevant job experienceProficiency with a laptop computer and GSuite apps (i.e. Gmail, Hangouts, and Driver, including Sheets and Docs); andProficiency with using a touchscreen smartphone (Android preferred by not required).Previous Public Safety, Emergency and or traffic management experience highly preferredRequired Knowledge Skills and Abilities (KSAs):Must have good attention to detail and be able to quickly and concisely describe their thoughts;Capable of responding quickly and simultaneously to multiple scenarios;Adapt quickly to new and developing technology;Cross-functional verbal and written communication and issue escalation;Must be able to multitask multiple technologies, including communications devices and vehicle status systemsMust be able to work specific shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and/or weekends, as well as overnight shifts and ability to travel up to 5% of the time;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Must be self-motivated and demonstrate good judgment, in fast-paced, high stress environments; andLeadership skills to supervise classes with large groups of people.Physical Requirements:Occasional standing, walking, and sitting.Long periods of sitting.Use hands to finger; handle or feel; and talk or hear; climb stairs and/or ladders.Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.Pre-Employment Requirements:All Transdev employees must satisfactorily complete a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
