The Advance Driver Assistance Technology (ADAS) team develops state-of-the-art software and algorithms to deliver best-in-class features like adaptive cruise control, automatic emergency braking, blind spot monitoring, and 360 camera systems. ADAS also developed Ford's industry-first Pro Trailer Hitch Assist, securing over 60 patents in the process. The team is responsible for the full end-to-end delivery of these features into production on all Ford vehicle lines.
In this position…
We are seeking an individual with strong expertise in self-driving technologies and robotics systems to help us integrate and test the prototype software functionalities on the production vehicle platforms. This position will play a vital role in shipping production level software to the next generation Level 2 autonomous solutions within Ford’s vehicle lineup.
What you'll do...
Design and execute comprehensive test plans to validate the ADAS software modules and hardware systems Integrate and deploy the ADAS software to the production vehicle platforms Develop software to optimize the system performance and improve the fleet infrastructure Develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks to improve test efficiency and coverage Analyze test results, identify and diagnose issues, and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve problems. Stay up-to-date on the latest autonomous driving technologies and testing methodologies, and contribute to the development of robust test processes and procedures

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related fields 1 year of software development experience using C++ 1 year of experience with Linux development and bash scripting

Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related fields, or 2+ years of experience in test and integration engineering Experience with ADAS technologies i.e. autonomous driving software architecture, sensors, networking, compute hardware, control systems Experience with UDP, TCP, CAN and network routing Experience with software development tools i.e. build systems, containers, source control etc. Experience with software for real-time or safety-critical systems Experience with agile software development and testing methodologies Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment.
