Ongoing training and development are part of every job, offering constant growth and skill-building potential. Currently, our Site Services Department is hiring for Auxiliary Steam Plant Operator. The Auxiliary Steam Plant Operator is responsible to safely perform duties associated with the operations of the Centre of Site Facilities located on the Bruce Power site. This is a permanent, full-time position which offers a competitive benefits, compensation and pension package and is located on site in Tiverton, Ontario. **What will you be responsible for?** + Execute field operations on Centre of Site Infrastructure Facilities and Equipment according to approved procedures and practices + Safely operate systems and equipment during normal, abnormal or upset conditions + Prepare, check and issue work protection documents + Execute routine inspection and monitoring of systems and equipment + Perform commissioning, testing and troubleshooting of operating equipment + Identify and respond to adverse conditions and hazards + Be knowledgeable in the use of protective equipment and executing the work in a safe manner + Perform prescribed activities in support of environmental performance monitoring and measuring + Prepare logs, reports, record procedures, etc. + Perform other duties as required within the job function **Education and Experience** + Minimum education requirements include a successful completion of grade XII in a Secondary, Commercial or Technical School or equivalent + Ontario Third Class Operating Engineer's Certificate required **(A copy MUST be attached to your Workday application to be considered** ); Ontario Second Class Operating Engineer's Certificate preferred + A period of over two years' experience operating combustion control systems and process equipment in an industrial setting + Applicants should be knowledgeable of TDG Regulations, liquid sampling, monitoring and measuring techniques + Level I Wastewater License is considered an asset + Drinking Water Treatment License and experience is considered an asset **Selection Criteria** + Skills, Knowledge, Education, and Experience per the above qualifications and experience + Verbal and written communication + Transferable skills (for example, effective communication, drive for accountability and results, time/organizational management, collaboration and teamwork) + Competency based interview + Past performance record and suitability for this position **Are you ready for a change?** Please complete the online application and attach a cover letter and resume, indicating your education and experience as it relates to this opportunity.
