Auxiliary Operator
**A Snapshot of Your Day** The Auxiliary Operator (AO) completes plant inspections, starts ups, shutdowns, and other operations of plant equipment. The AO logs plant inspections, test water chemistry and makes minor adjustments and repairs of mechanical, electrical and pressure vessel equipment. This equipment includes but is not limited to a Gas Turbine Generator (GTG), Steam Turbine Generator (STG), a 3 pressure Heat Recovery Steam Generator (HRSG), and other auxiliary equipment. The AO reports to the Operations Manager but works under the direction of the Control Room Operator CRO) when on shift. Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions, climb ladders, operate valves as required and lift as much as 75 lb. **How You’ll Make an Impact** The AO must learn and strictly adhere to all safety and environmental rules and regulations to protect employees and public safety. + Assist the CRO implementing with Safe Work permits) + De-energizing equipment and lockout and tagout the isolation point perimeters. + Perform Take-5s (Job Hazard analysis) and walking down the work area with affected contractors and employees to ensure needed protection for safe hazards free work area. + Assist the CRO implement Confined Space Entries and ensuring fall protection requirements. + Pump Stormwater Containment and other practices in compliance with site’s best practices and regulatory permits. **The successful candidate must have the following:** + Three or more years operating and maintaining a Combined Cycle Plant or other relayed work experience. + Must have a valid driver’s license. + Requires a minimum of an AAS degree or equivalent. + Effective communication skills. + Working knowledge of Office 365 software including Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook.
