Job Description SummaryThe Flight Test Instrumentation Technician will install, maintain and troubleshoot various types of instrumentation. Those types may include transducers, thermocouples, wiring and data recording equipment in an experimental aircraft for flight tests according to engineering specifications. You will work in a team environment to conduct jet engine flight testing in accordance with established flight test principles to achieve safe flight operations.

Essential Responsibilities

Be capable of following procedures and learning specific software applicationsHave the ability to contribute and participate as a member of the flight test team for jet engine testing, requiring teamwork and collaborative problem solving in a multi-team environmentMust be able to use time domain reflectometer, digital voltmeter and oscilloscopeAble to do pre and post flight inspectionsFill out a parts tag with detailBe familiar with lock out tag out proceduresWillingness to accomplish all jobs that are not beyond the candidate’s technical abilityOperate scissor lifts, tugs, small and large forklifts, etc.Strong organizational and communications skillsAbility to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals

 

Qualifications/Requirements  

High School Diploma / GEDMinimum 2 years of flight test experience (airplane, helicopter, or vectored thrust aircraft)
