Relying on limited experience and knowledge, the Aviation Claims Examiner is responsible for accomplishing the following assignments. These assignments are varied in nature.Monitor claims that are high-exposure.Review all claims that are in litigation within reserve limits.Authorize all requests for settlement on claims within assigned level of authority.Prepare all reservation of rights and denial of coverage letters within assigned level of authority.Report to the claim executive on the status of the claims.PlanningFollow work plans, established timelines, and pre-defined goals for assigned work.Meet commitments on deadlines.CommunicationCommunicate activities, results, and observations with employees and management as appropriate.Cost ManagementIdentify areas for improvement in existing business practices.Perform work thoroughly in a cost-efficient manner and at a high productivity level.Business Controls and PoliciesComply with all corporate policies and procedures.Report any breakdowns in controls to management.Conduct all activities in a safe manner.People ManagementNo people management responsibility.Competencies

Education
Education Level 4 Year / Bachelors Degree, Business Administration, Insurance, Aviation, a related field, or the equivalent education and/or
experience
Years of Experience 2 Years
Area of Experience two years of relevant and progressive professional experience in claims handling
