Aviation Life Support Equipment Technician (ALSE), INSCOM

Under the United States (U.S.) Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) Global Intelligence Logistics and Engineering (GILE) program, Team V2X will provide: global multi-disciplined engineering; facilities; sustainment and maintenance of non-standard (non-Program of Record) and Program of Record intelligence systems to include the integration of new intelligence technologies and capabilities; Portal management; hardware design and integration; network management; technology development and application; and supply chain/logistics support to INSCOM, U.S. Army Cyber Command (ARCYBER), Army Intelligence, Joint Forces, Combatant Commands, and the Intelligence Community (IC). Team V2X will enable INSCOM’s mission of anticipating requirements and employing innovative techniques to equip and sustain Soldiers, Civilians, systems, and facilities. As a dedicated partner to INSCOM G4, Team V2X is committed to enhancing readiness as part of Combined, Joint, and IC interdependent teams supporting tactical, operational, and strategic intelligence units, personnel, ground and aerial intelligence equipment, operation facilities, and infrastructure from multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. This position is located on-site at Camp Humphreys, South Korea. This position is contingent upon successful contract award to V2X. #clearance Responsibilities Maintain Aviation Life-support Equipment (ALSE) such as night vision goggles, flight helmets, survival vests, exposure suits, and aviation modular survival systems and aircraft first aid kits. Support components IAW applicable Technical Manuals (TMs), Technical Orders, manufacturer’s instructions or Naval Air Publications. Fit flight helmets, survival vests and other individual items of equipment to aircrew members, military personnel and civilians participating in flight operations. Perform preventative maintenance services and inspections IAW applicable TMs, manufacturer’s instructions on all ALSE equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, replace, overhaul, test, service, preserve and clean ALSE equipment; perform scheduled / unscheduled maintenance on aircraft ALSE. Attend ALSE training courses, conferences, meetings, and/or briefings. Train and brief aircrew, non-aircrew, and civilian members on the proper use of required ALSE equipment onboard. Coordinate with unit supply / medical personnel on the requisition of replacement ALSE equipment as required. Calibrate all equipment and conduct periodic TMDE calibrations. Maintain maintenance records on all ALSE equipment; escalate repair requests through proper channels; ensure compliant disposal of all unserviceable ALSE equipment. Orders and maintain Prescribed Load List (PLL), including supply of controlled substances and ammunition (incendiary signaling devices). Review, update and disseminate a variety of SOPs, checklists, briefing material, and technical / administrative publications and reports). Perform prescribed cleaning, preservation, and operator maintenance of ALSE shop tools and equipment. Conduct on-the-job training with assigned employees. Assist in the evaluation of new and/or modified ALSE as required. Fabricate or modify ALSE for special application and/or to accommodate local environmental conditions. Qualifications Education / Certifications: Associate's Degree in Logistics or a related field from an accredited college / university plus six (6) years of military experience in Aviation Life Support Maintenance, OR Military or related civilian equivalent training plus eight (8) years of experience. Security Clearance Requirement: Must be a US Citizen with Final Top-Secret Clearance based upon a TIER 5 Background Investigation, and favorable eligibility determination for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) IAW ICD 704. Some positions or assignments may require a Counterintelligence (CI) Scope Polygraph, especially those requiring access to TDN2. Experience / Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of Aviation Life Support Systems and associated equipment maintenance. Applied knowledge of operating elements, electrical or electronic principles, and reference materials in performing maintenance and repair tasks. Utilize skill on common test equipment such as ohmmeter, voltmeter, other electrical / electronic test equipment, and common tools such as drills, screwdrivers, wrenches, soldering irons and pliers.
