Job Description: The mission of the Deputy Under Secretary of the Air Force, International Affairs (SAF/IA) is to create, advocate, and facilitate Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force policies and programs to support United States (US) national security objectives. The Aviation Logistics Planner will develop solutions to international logistics planning and execution issues impacting the U.S. Government and our Ally Partner Nation’s in support of Foreign Military Sales (FMS).
Responsibilities:
Use knowledge of all facets of aviation logistics at a significant and noteworthy level to adeptly analyze challenging and vexing logistics problems and recommend insightful and innovative solutions. Creative approaches to all manners of logistics planning and execution issues and provide the customer with far-reaching recommendations that will advance the state of the Security Assistance logistics. Address the most demanding challenges within the field, including technology insertion to streamline logistics processes, foster system-wide efficiencies, and develop system concepts to reduce the customer’s total ownership costs. Works effectively on specific, individual weapons system issues as well as system-wide projects. Conduct logistics, supportability, reliability, maintainability, and operational analyses and provide recommendations for tailoring, optimizing, and establishing logistics element requirements in support of aircraft, weapon systems, training or support equipment (SE) programs.
