GFT is seeking an Aviation Project Manager to join our Transportation Team in one of our Mid-Atlantic offices (Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Fairfax, and/or Owings Mills). This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our closest offices.

What you'll be challenged to do:
This position includes completion or management of Aviation design, rehabilitation, and construction projects along with the oversight of the production of construction documents, specifications, and estimates. In addition, duties may include construction management services. Client and/or project assignments will be provided by current Airport and Civil Engineering Group Management. Assignments will involve travel within the continental United States and could potentially involve travel outside of the US.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
Oversee Aviation or Civil Engineering staff participating in the completion of design or construction projects.Contact subconsultants and negotiate scope and fees necessary to aid in assigned projects.Receives instructions from Vice President or Senior Project Engineers as to the general results expected.Responsible for accuracy of engineering design, reports, calculations, plans, quality presentation, thoroughness and follow-through, and efficient conformance to budgets, schedules, and company standards.Keeps Senior Project Manager informed of workload and any changes in project schedule or scope or additional services and need for help from Aviation/Civil staff.Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.Mentor junior level staff.Assist or participate in preparation of business proposals.Be willing to travel within the continental United States and for limited travel outside the US.
