Job Title: Aviation Sealant and Assembly Technician
Pay Rate: $30.74 - $39.14 per hour

Location: North Charleston, SC 29418
Schedule: Full-time; Consultant (6 Months), Monday to Friday. Must be willing and able to work any shift based on business needs.

Position Description:

We are seeking an experienced Assembler - Seal to perform complex production assembly operations on structural parts, mechanical assemblies, subassemblies, and aircraft systems. This role requires expertise in applying sealants, installing system components, and using a variety of tools and techniques to meet specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform complex assembly operations on structural parts, subassemblies, and aircraft systems using manual or automated assembly tools.

Read, comprehend, and apply technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Apply sealant to surfaces per required specifications.

Install various aircraft system components, including panels and structural assemblies.

Operate mechanical lifts such as ladders, tiger lifts, and snorkel lifts.

Use tools such as rivet guns, bucking bars, screwdrivers, power screwdrivers, lock bolt pullers, ratchet wrenches, C-squeezes, and other hand tools.

Handle chemical solvents, sealants, coatings, primers, adhesives, paints, and special finishes.

Perform in-tank sealing in fuel tanks and structural areas, including bonding, grounding, and fuel tank washing.

Work in confined spaces, adhering to training and certification requirements.

Conduct inspections to ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

7+ years of aviation experience.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.

Experience applying sealants, handling chemicals, and performing precision measurements.

Comfortable working in confined spaces with associated certifications.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to meet stringent quality standards.

Technical/Software Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Outlook.

Experience with CAD/3D Drawing programs.

Familiarity with Internet Explorer for technical resources and documentation.
