As the Software Tech Lead, you'll play a crucial role. As the Software Tech Lead, you'll play a crucial role. You will spend approximately 75% of your time actively contributing to software development for the HAS, and you will spend approximately 25% of your time leading a small team of software engineers and working with the EPM to define scope, schedule, cost, earned value and risk for your respective software area.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Lead day-to-day activities for Individual Contributors, both technical and operational.
Actively contribute to authoring requirements and developing embedded software for the HAS.
Work with the EPM to manage scope, schedule, cost, earned value, and risk for the embedded SW under your control.
Work with the EPM and engineering management to communicate staffing needs.
Develop strong working relationships with all team members and stakeholders.
Demonstrate GE Leadership Behaviors at all times: Act with Humility, Lead with Transparency, and Deliver with Focus.
If applicable, identify supplier scope of work and work with the EPM to define a SOW and PO.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or similar from an accredited university.
Minimum 8 years of experience in embedded software development.
Minimum 2 years of experience working with DO-178C software development processes and certification standards through the full software development lifecycle.
Minimum 1 year of experience leading a team or providing project management.
Minimum 1 year C coding experience.
