Avionics Systems Verification Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Avionics Systems Verification Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a Systems Verification Engineer you will be responsible for the verification and validation of avionics systems to ensure they meet all specified requirements and standards. This role requires a strong understanding of verification engineering principles, technical problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute verification and validation plans for avionics systems, including hardware and software components.Design and implement test cases and procedures to verify system functionality, performance, and compliance with safety and quality standards.Conduct system-level testing, including integration, regression, and acceptance testing.Analyze test results, identify issues, and work with cross-functional teams to resolve them.Develop and maintain technical documentation, including test plans, test reports, and verification matrices.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754).Participate in design reviews, technical meetings, and project planning activities.Provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders.Manage project timelines, deliverables, and resources to ensure successful project completion.Coordinate with project managers to track progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies.Prepare and present verification status reports to stakeholders and management.Facilitate communication and collaboration among project team members to achieve project goals.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.Experience in electronic systems integration, testing or hardware/software testing.Proficiency in verification and validation tools and methodologies.Experience with system integration and testing.Experience with test frameworks and automated testing tools.Hands-on lab experience with electronic systems and test equipment.Demonstrated leadership in verification activities, including leading verification teams or projects.Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., DO-178, DO-254, ARP4754).Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a team environment and manage multiple priorities.

Desired Qualifications

Knowledge of software development processes and programming languages (e.g., C, C++).Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, Bash).Understanding of safety-critical systems and reliability engineering.Experience with aviation data transfer/communication standards: ARINC 664, Ethernet.Knowledge of avionics systems, including navigation, communication, and flight control systems.Certification in project management.Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices.
