We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Assistant Vice President, Capital Management Reporting and Control, Global Treasury
Principal responsibilities
The role holder be a part of Group Treasury within the Capital Management team and will work across number of disciplines within Group Capital Management, and report to the Treasury Senior Manager, Capital Management Reporting and Control. Role holder will work very closely with Group Capital Management colleagues in the UK, Europe, Americas, Middle East and HK and the IRR Programme delivery team.Responsible for timely and accurate production, quality control and submission of internal reporting and external regulatory report(s) or disclosures.Performing control activities during report production, periodic reviews of those controls, and design of controls for new reports.Identifying improvement opportunities through automation or streamlining of production processes. Assist in production of the internal reporting and external reporting requirements, including actuals and capital forecasting;Produce and maintain process and control documentation, Identify control gaps log issues.Working with the wider Capital management team to ensure plans reflect impacts of capital initiatives and regulatory change, and to identify further opportunities;Ensuring that the outputs are of a high quality, reflecting accepted regulatory policy and standards. Other initiatives within the Capital Management team, as required. These may focus on capital efficiency, capital performance, Group ICAAP, ad-hoc analysis or be broader in nature.Some careers have more impact than others.

More specifically,Finance/ treasury/ risk background, with knowledge of accounting/financial reporting, capital requirements and market risk.Experience working in relevant environments, i.e. banking and relevant market/context, i.e. Capital management, Capital reporting, regulatory experience, PRA experience. Experience with regulatory reporting processes and risk and control assessments. Understand the risks and the need for process and control documentation requirements for regulatory reporting processes or equivalent (such as Sox standards or internal or external audit experience) Understanding of banking products and how they relate to capital requirements. Experience of preparing concise overview and presenting information to senior management.A broad understanding of financial budgets/statements/models, with experience of analyzing data effectively for planning, forecasting and reporting.Qualified ACA /CA/ Management Accountant / MBA / CFA with experience in Finance, Treasury, Corporate Finance and Banking. Significant operational experience (e.g., 6-8 years) within Treasury/Capital Planning or Financial Reporting will be advantageous.You’ll achieve more at HSBC
