The AVP, Claims Data Solutions will have a crucial role in the development of the innovative Global Data Platform (GDP) and in harnessing its potential to integrate actionable intelligence across various use cases.
Primary Responsibilities:
Bring a distinct data consumer prospective to ensure that business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements are effectively fulfilled. This encompasses a comprehensive understanding of how claims data flow into, within, and outside claims systems, along with the intended use, dependencies, and impacts as well as a strong understanding of business processes and their associations with source system and/or vendor data. Identify and propose essential data elements necessary to support the company’s business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting requirements. Ensure that the essential data elements needed for business intelligence, operational metrics, modeling, analytics, and reporting purposes are captured with precision, completeness, consistency. Plan and coordinate the integration of vendor data into GDP to align with the business intelligence and analytics objectives. Define and develop use cases based on business priorities and anticipated impact. Document business requirements and clearly articulate the business benefits. Apply analytical techniques to analyze and interpret intricate data sets, extracting meaningful insights that can support informed decision-making processes. Manage 1-2 direct reportsSecondary Responsibilities:
Support data solutions for existing data assets and applications as and when required. This includes ensuring the smooth functioning and optimization of data assets and applications, troubleshooting issues, and implementing necessary enhancements or improvements to meet evolving business needs. Strategize and develop a roadmap for the decommissioning of existing data assets and smooth transition to leveraging new data sets.The ideal candidate should have:
Bachelor's/Master’s degree in disciplines such as Information Systems, Statistics, Data Engineering, Computer Science, or related fields Preferred experience in P&C Insurance industry, particularly within the Claims sector7+ years’ experience in data analytics and/or business intelligence focusing on driving business decision-making, with a strong track record that demonstrates the ability to implement data-driven solutions and deliver tangible and measurable business impacts. Proven ability to implement business intelligence and analytics strategies aligned with overall business objectives. Demonstrated success in driving pragmatic implementation, ensuring that business intelligence and analytics initiatives are relevant, actionable, and directly contribute to the achievement of business goalsExperience in managing work and making informed decisions across the entire data lifecycle, from source system to end-user product. Analytical mindset with experience in requirements, analysis, design, and implementation of data-driven business solutions. Strong communication skills to effectively articulate data related concepts to non-technical audiences.Intellectual curiosity and a genuine passion for exploring the potential of data and the strategic insights derived from it. Enthusiasm for delving into data, analyzing it to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement.Strong knowledge of agile software development lifecycle Proficiency in Data Warehouse, Data Lake/ Data Lakehouse concepts, Structured Query Language (SQL) , Databricks and Snowflake is desirableThe pay range for the role is $102,000 to $168,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
