Our client, a leading player in the insurance industry, is seeking an AVP, Product Development Attorney - Liability to join their team. As an AVP, Product Development Attorney, you will be part of the Liability Department supporting various teams. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent time management, and exceptional communication abilities, which will align successfully in the organization.
**Job Title:** AVP, Product Development Attorney - Liability
**Location: Hybrid (In office Tuesday and Thursday) Jersey City, NJ (Remote options available)**
**Pay Range: $130,000 - $180,000**
**What's the Job?**
+ Work with new and existing products, focusing heavily on drafting within the liability space.
+ Provide legal advice and technical subject matter expertise to underwriters and colleagues on various coverage types.
+ Draft and review policy language to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
+ Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare necessary materials for filing with state Departments of Insurance.
+ Monitor case law and regulatory changes impacting forms language for assigned Lines of Business.
**What's Needed?**
+ 3 to 5 years of insurance product background experience (Commercial P&C acceptable).
+ 2 years of dedicated drafting experience.
+ Juris Doctor from an accredited law school.
+ Strong familiarity with insurance coverages and marketplace.
+ Ability to manage projects from concept to fruition with minimal oversight.
