A Typical Day The AVP of Servicing Credit Risk is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing credit risk policies and procedures that guide our Servicing practices and ensure compliance with investor, insurer, and regulatory guidelines. The ideal candidate will be a detail-oriented expert in mortgage servicing with a deep understanding of credit risk, regulatory requirements, and a passion for operational excellence. The AVP of Servicing Credit Risk will: Enhance and maintain servicing credit policies and procedures (P&P) to ensure alignment with investor/insurer guidelines and regulatory requirements Support Servicing Credit Risk Policy’s change management process Identify and address gaps in P&P, incorporating changes resulting from the Change Management process and process improvement initiatives Support the review of non-agency pooling and servicing agreements Enhance and maintain the scope and questionnaires for Servicing QC activities Design and maintain automated QC tests for the servicing function Conduct Servicing Credit Risk Management (CRM) Business Review Meetings (BRMs) Perform control evaluations of servicing functions Assist with exam responses, including gathering documents, providing P&P, and drafting narratives Participate in Requests for Information (RFIs) and Government Relations policy change advocacy What You’ll Bring Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field 5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, credit risk management, or a related field, with a focus on policy and procedure development Extensive knowledge of mortgage servicing operations, including loan administration, default management, escrow management, and loss mitigation Strong understanding of investor/insurer requirements (e.g., Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Ginnie Mae) and relevant regulations Solid understanding of credit risk principles and their application to mortgage servicing Ability to identify and assess credit risks associated with various servicing activities Proven experience in developing and implementing credit policies and procedures Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly and concisely Proficiency in data analysis tools and techniques Why You Should Join As one of the top mortgage lenders in the country, Pennymac has helped over 4 million lifetime homeowners achieve and sustain their aspirations of home.
