Job Purpose & Scope Administers the Bank’s internal and Cloud based IT infrastructure, including security, performance, and availability. This position will lead highly complex projects involving the design, analysis, maintenance, and implementation of the IT infrastructure. Essential Job Functions Maintains the bank’s IT infrastructure, including security, performance and availability as it pertains to both physical and virtual systems, Microsoft Active Directory/Exchange, and Azure environments. Performs the design, analysis, maintenance and implementation of IT infrastructure containing both physical and virtual environments, Microsoft Active Directory/Exchange, and Azure elements in IT related projects. Identifies, eliminates, and makes recommendations to prevent future bottlenecks in the data workflow from applications to the physical/virtual network. Independently identifies and resolves complex virtual hardware and software problems. Proactively ensures data and system security by protecting corporate information from unauthorized access, use or interruption; eliminates bottlenecks in the network; and identifies and provides advanced level assistance with the resolution of physical or virtual hardware and software related problems. Implements software upgrades with vendors and Bank staff as necessary. Analyzes information related to virtual hardware/software utilization, CPU loads, system tuning, hardware tuning and virtual hardware integration and partners with management/system owners to address identified deficiencies or implement required updates. Performs upgrades in Microsoft environments such as Active Directory, Exchange, and Azure. Serves as an advanced escalation point for resolution of complex service tickets for both IT and non-IT teams. Follows Bank and department policy, practice and procedure while maintaining strict confidentiality and bank secrecy. Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with end users, vendors, and managers. Provides advanced technical guidance and assistance to other IT engineers and IT administrators. Maintains good punctuality and attendance to work. Regularly exercises discretion and judgment in the performance of essential job functions. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Advanced Knowledge of the following Azure areas: Azure admin portal, Azure Resource Management, Microsoft Entra, and Azure AD. Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server software. Knowledge of storage hardware, physical server hardware, and software installation, along with testing and operations. Knowledge of various software products such as Microsoft Office, Microsoft RDP, Microsoft SQL. Knowledge of VMware virtual hypervisors. Ability to demonstrate proficiency in Windows PowerShell, Azure CLI, to perform both routine and non-routine tasks. Ability to work without close supervision. Ability to manage multiple tasks with exacting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to demonstrate excellent and effective customer service skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to demonstrate effective organization, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Basic Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in job-related field or commensurate work experience, required. 5+ years of work experience with Azure and multiple software and systems, required. Preferred Qualifications: Advanced Microsoft or IT certifications, preferred.
