NHC Corporate Office is looking for an AVP for our Behavioral Health Division. The Assistant Vice President (AVP) – Behavioral Health is a key partner on the NHC Behavioral Health (Psych) Division Executive Team located in Murfreesboro, TN. The position oversees the nursing and administrative clinical operations within the Behavioral Health Hospital Division at NHC.

Position Highlights: 

Oversees Directors of Nursing at all hospital locations and fill in as interim during periods of vacancy. Writes, reviews and updates clinical policies on an annual and as needed basis. Oversees interviews and hiring for patient care and nursing service applicants. Interviews, hires and trains Administrators, DONs and medical service providers. Contribute to development plans regarding nursing services, processes, plans and medical equipment. Oversees patient care retention plan. Monitors and eliminates agency usage in all cases, unless necessary to maintain safety. Cross-trains patient care departments utilizing lean procedures.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualification:

Licensure: Current multi-state compact license to practice professional nursing in TN and MO, as well as other states as future development ensues. Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited nursing program; Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Administration or Social Services required. 5 years Executive Nursing, Operations, Quality and Compliance experience required. 5 years Executive Experience performing at a system or corporate level involving inpatient psychiatric oversight accountability. Outpatient psychiatric oversight may be substituted partially in meeting requirements. 5 years business and growth development building programs, service lines, or hospitals required with behavioral health business development, preferred. Demonstrated working knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices, regulatory, compliance and operational management. Extensive DNV, Joint Commission, OIG and regulatory compliance knowledge.
