What you’ll do:

As an AVP Finance Operations, you will manage the Finance Operations Team which primarily performs balance sheet management and reconciliations, journal entry prep and posting across the enterprise. The AVP Financial Operations manages in accordance with service level expectations and monitors individual and team performance.         

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the management of the Lifepoint Business Services, Financial Operations Team, which primarily performs balance sheet management and reconciliations, journal entry preparation, and journal entry posting across the enterpriseResponsible for identifying and leading continuous improvement initiatives that will align accrual, allocation, reconciliation and accounting processes with approval from LBS and Lifepoint leadershipDevelop and implement internal controls to ensure balance sheet accounts are reconciled timely and that reconciliation variances are explained and resolvedImplement and manage internal controls to ensure journal entries are properly prepared and reviewed, recorded timely, and recorded to the correct period. Collaborate with the LBS Technical Accounting team and operations leaders to inform the appropriate treatment of complex or technical accounting issuesAssure the integrity of hospital balance sheets through management of the post-closing review process and periodic balance sheet reviews Support general ledger, subledger, and journal entry analysis as needed, including ability to use reporting tools such as OTBI to query transactions to perform necessary research and analysisLiaise with external stakeholders in providing required financial reports and informationResponsible for supporting audit inquiries as neededManage operations in accordance with service level expectations and supports daily reporting of individual and team performance

What you’ll need:

Education: Bachelors Degree required, preferably in the areas of Accounting or Finance 

Experience:  7+ years of experience in Healthcare Financial Operations 

Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (preferred)

Licenses: Active CPA License (Preferred)
