Join us as a AVP Investment Banking, Healthcare at Barclays where you’ll have a pivotal role in providing strategic financial advisory services to clients within the biopharma sector. You will be able to create financial analysis/ modelling, industry research, and coordination with internal teams related to a financing or sale. ensuring fast and unparalleled customer service to our clients.

You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in the role, such as risk and controls, change and transformation, business acumen, strategic thinking and digital and technology, as well as job specific technical skills.

Additional relevant skills in financial modelling, and previous Investment Banking or Healthcare Biopharma are highly valued.

Salary / Rate Minimum: 175,000

 Salary / Rate Maximum: 225,000

This role is based in New York.

Purpose of the role

To manage the business area and set the strategic direction. Provide support to the bank's senior management team, and to manage research risk across the organisation. 

Accountabilities

Development of strategic direction for business area, including the implementation of up to date methodologies and processes.Management of the business area, including oversight of colleagues and their performance, implementation of departmental goals and objectives, oversight of department efficiency and effectiveness.Relationship management of stakeholders, including identifying relevant stakeholders, and maintenance of the quality of external third-party services, including senior point of contact/escalation for colleagues and clients.Development and implementation of policies and procedures for products.Management of risk, including identification of potential risks, development of strategies to mitigate those risks.Monitoring the financial performance of the department, including revenue, profitability, and cost control.Management of projects, including driving successful research and related launches, and deliverance of integrated solutions to clients.Conducting thorough market research to understand market trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory changes to identify market opportunities.
