AVP Project Manager

Who we are looking for

A Technology Program Manager who reports Product Management Lead will manage the execution of the initiatives to scope, schedule and budget.  She/he will be responsible for risk and issue management, management of decisions and escalations change management, budget management and stakeholder engagement.  This role will entail developing relationships and working with senior stakeholders and project managers across all regions business areas and across CRD IT Technology.   Reporting and communication of program status, and risks to appropriate senior business and technology leaders will be required across all program initiatives.  This role will need to become familiar with Project Management Policies and standards and ensure good program governance and execution.  The role is Burlington MA based with 4 days required to be in the office.

The team you will be joining is a part of Charles River Development (or CRD), that became a part of State Street in 2018. CRD helps create enterprise investment management software solutions for large institutions in the areas of institutional investment, wealth management and hedge funds. Together we have created the first open front-to-back platform - State Street Alpha, that was launched in 2019.

What you will be responsible for

As Technology Program Manager you will

Provide program governance, oversight, and monitoring in accordance with Charles River and State Street Policies and Standards Ensure accurate tracking of program progress against milestones and targeted outcomes, as well as reporting on progress to executive leadershipManage program risks, issues, assumptions, and dependenciesOversee and produce end-to-end program plans and track progress and changesIdentify and address program resource constraints (e.g., program management, SMEs, technology) in collaboration with functional leads Conduct Book of Work Reviews and health checks with the Product Management Lead and Technology Senior Stakeholders Develop and monitor stakeholder maps and engagement plans Facilitate workshops and planning sessions as requiredPlan and mobilize internal and external communications outreach as needed Create and sustain an engaging, inclusive culture aligned to State Street values. Work with different technological groupsPlan, manage, and execute project plans for projects of varying sizesManage and produce key deliverables for the organizationCreate long- and short-term project plans including setting targets for milestones and adhering to deadlinesDrive projects based on defined priorities; ensure scope of deliverables and timelines are met; identify risks and issues and mitigate and / or escalate as neededLeverage problem solving skills to ensure project plans deliver identified resultsBuild relationships with key stakeholders to ensure deliveryProvide project status reporting to include accomplishments, upcoming milestones and overall completion status to ensure al milestones and deliverables are achieved within the communicated deadlines

Education & Preferred Qualifications

10 – 15 years Project/Program management experienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience requiredProficiency in Microsoft OfficeStrong analytical skillsPassion to analyze, set priorities, and solve complex problemsAbility to negotiate priorities with competing prioritiesResults-driven self-starter with the ability to multitask. Strong initiative and ability to work in a self-directed environment with a “can do” attitude and growth mindsetComfortable working in a fast-paced environment while dealing with ambiguity and the ability to work within a team environmentAbility to manage competing demands and frequent changes, delays, or unexpected eventsStrong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to convey plans, issues, and risks concisely and coherently.

Salary Range:

$80,000 - $132,500 Annual

The range quoted above applies to the role in the primary location specified. If the candidate would ultimately work outside of the primary location above, the applicable range could differ.
