AVP - Risk and Compliance, Captive & Insurance Management, Bermuda
AVP – Risk & Compliance – Captive & Insurance Management, Bermuda Aon insurance Managers, Bermuda are seeking to an Assistant Vice President in our Risk Advisory practice to work across multiple disciplines within our Captives business. This position reports to the Risk Advisory Vice President and is an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to have a unique role across all our business units. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated and energetic individual who has a successful track record of delivery of risk and compliance solutions. This person will be an organized and highly motivated risk, compliance, insurance or accounting professional who can confidently discuss risk and compliance strategies and lead specific projects to develop revenue growth and operational efficiencies. This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Bermuda office. What the day will look like + Work closely with Vice President and relationship leaders to bring the best of Aon to our clients. + Support the day-to-day management of the Risk Advisory practice group including all client deliverables. + Liaise with the Underwriting Solutions team to ensure that client’s Corporate Governance & Risk Frameworks are produced, enhanced and maintained in a collaborative manner. + Support clients in understanding and implementing the various principles of the Insurance Code of Conduct. + Support of Underwriting Solutions team in delivery of commercial client annual filings to the regulator including corporate governance and risk sections of BSCR, CISSA and FCR. + Support clients in development and implementation of a Compliance Framework, including supporting compliance assurance work. + Liaise with clients and regulatory authorities (BMA) with regard to Risk, Governance and Compliance matters. + Attend and participate in client meetings including board and committee meetings. Skills and experience that will lead to success + An internationally recognized relevant qualification (accounting, insurance, ERM, compliance or actuarial). + Deep understanding of the Bermuda (or similar) regulatory environment and a minimum of 5 years’ experience. + Experience in designing, implementing and monitoring/reporting of Governance/Risk/Compliance Frameworks for Commercial Reinsurance companies. + Experience interacting at Board/senior executive level. + Excellent project management skills. + Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
