Job Title: AWS Architect

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring and resolving issues related to application components and infrastructure. While AWS Cloud Practitioner and Cloud Solutions Architect Associate qualifications are preferred, any equivalent industry-standard cloud experience or certification will be considered.

Key Responsibilities:

Utilize AWS knowledge and experience; AWS Cloud Practitioner or Cloud Solutions Architect Associate certification preferred. Provide support experience in a financial service regulated environment. Manage system administration in Windows Server 2012+ environments. Apply relevant work experience in Linux or Windows systems administration. Demonstrate awareness of AWS, including EC2, VPC, AWS CloudWatch, Storage, and Security Groups. Possess working knowledge of SSL certificates. Have intermediate knowledge of troubleshooting networking and load balancing topology. Utilize working knowledge of IIS and Tomcat. Deploy and support products for clients in the UK and internationally. Create new environments, carry out software deployments, and manage estates. Collaborate closely with the Technical Lead to enhance service delivery. Provide support outside normal office hours for issue resolution and deployments. Maintain records of support issues and deployments for knowledge base. Assist with installations and configurations across various teams. Understand and experience using cloud platform proprietary services and tooling, including Compute. Understand best practices for securing cloud resources in a highly regulated enterprise environment. Work with Windows Server operating systems. Use Windows automation tools such as PowerShell. Have knowledge and experience with cloud well-architected frameworks and adoption principles. Contribute to the design, management, and maintenance of our AWS-hosted infrastructure, covering development, UAT, and production environments. Ensure a resilient, scalable, and secure platform. Participate actively in new research projects and proof of concepts. Carry out all duties aiming to protect customers and improve customer experience. Fully understand the development lifecycle and methodologies. Demonstrate credibility and professionalism. Challenge appropriately and present solutions effectively. Exhibit excellent oral and written communication skills and strong customer focus. Manage multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment with excellent organizational and communication skills. Work independently with a self-starting attitude and high attention to detail. Drive delivery and continuous improvement.

Nice to Have:

SharePoint Administrator experience. Experience with Presconnect, Kofax, Informatica. Proficiency with PowerShell. Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Datadog, Opsview, Nagios, etc.

Qualifications:

BTech or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent. AWS Certified - preferable. Any other professional cloud certification.
