We are looking for a seasoned Senior TechOps Engineer with a strong background in AWS to join our dynamic team.  This role is essential for maintaining and optimizing infrastructure to ensure high availability, serviceability, security, and performance of our software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions.  The Senior TechOps Engineer will be part of a team responsible for the management, maintenance, and optimization of the AWS infrastructure for the OneLogin product.  This role involves complex troubleshooting, implementing automation, monitoring system performance, and collaborating with various teams to support and enhance cloud operations.  Your work will ensure that our customers receive seamless high-availability service for their mission-critical applications across geographically distributed and redundant environments.

 

100% Remote - Candidates must be located in Panama.  LOCAL candidates only

Responsibilities

-Oversee the deployment, management, and maintenance of AWS infrastructure, including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, AMQ, Lambda, and other services

-Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, and Puppet

-Ensure the security of AWS environments by implementing best practices, conducting regular security assessments, and managing IAM policies, roles, and permissions

-Analyze and optimize the performance of AWS resources and services to ensure cost-efficiency and high availability

-Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of complex technical issues and incidents, conducting root cause analysis and implementing preventive measures

-Maintain comprehensive documentation of AWS infrastructure, processes, and procedures

-Work closely with development, Quality Assurance, DevOps and other teams to support application deployments, infrastructure changes, and strategic initiatives

-Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for critical systems and services

-Set up and manage monitoring and logging solutions to ensure system reliability and performance

Qualifications

 

-8+ years of experience in a TechOps, DevOps, or similar role managing and maintaining AWS infrastructure in a production environment providing high availability services

-Strong expertise in AWS services, including EC2, S3, ELB, R53, RDS, VPC, ElastiCache, Lambda, IAM, and CloudFront

-Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes (EKS)

-Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell

-Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, Puppet and managing code using the Git version control system

-Solid understanding of networking concepts, including VPC, subnets, routing, and security groups

-Strong security awareness and experience implementing AWS security best practices

-Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues effectively under pressure

-Knowledge of observability and alerting tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, Sumo Logic, Airbrake, CloudHealth, and PagerDuty

-Strong communication and collaboration skills in English

 

Nice-to-have

-AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator, or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer

-Proficiency in managing databases such as PostgreSQL, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redis

-Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools like Github Actions, ArgoCD, Team City, and Rundeck
