AWS DevOps Engineer
About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 11 The Role: AWS DevOps Engineer The Location: Bucharest, Romania Your Role You will work in a fast-paced, agile environment with other teams, from development to business stakeholders, to develop, deploy, and manage a best-in-class AWS cloud solution that is highly automated, secure, and compliant with company goals, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Provision and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation) Monitor the cloud infrastructure on AWS to identify and address issues proactively Support the development, release, and production of complex applications involving data analytics and machine learning Create pipelines and automation to build, test, and deploy the application components Write readable, extensible, testable code while being mindful of performance requirements Create, maintain, and run unit tests for any components developed Conduct design and code reviews and collaborate to ensure your code passes review Business continuity support activities Adhere to industry standards and best practices Your expertise Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience building, managing, and running production workloads on AWS Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code through tools like Terraform or AWS CloudFormation Expertise in delivering secure, scalable SaaS solutions Experience with containerization and container orchestration technologies, such as Docker, Kubernetes, etc. Experience implementing metric-driven monitoring solutions Solid skills in coding/scripting (Python, bash) Good understanding and experience with general infrastructure areas – compute, storage, network Experience with modern software development life cycle Experience with version control systems and CI/CD tools for version control, application deployment, and test automation Speak and write fluently in English It’s a bonus if you also have (Optional) Strongly preferred: AWS Certified Solution Architect Associate or other AWS certifications Experience with any other programming languages Financial services background You are Able to collaborate with other developers as well as work independently as required Passionate about staying abreast of developments and best practices in AWS services and automation Analytical thinker with good problem-solving skills About S&P Global Market Intelligence At S&P Global Market Intelligence, a division of S&P Global we understand the importance of accurate, deep and insightful information.
