Location: Newbury + *Hybrid

What you’ll do 


As AWS DevOps Engineer you will design, implement and manage scalable, secure and reliable AWS infrastructure for big data applications. You will join the team that drive transformational change to support law enforcement and intelligence agencies in the detection and prevention of terrorism and serious crime, to truly make an impact. 

 

 

You will design and oversee the development, implementation and maintenance of complex data collection and exploitation systems. You will automate deployment, monitoring and management of AWS services using AWS native tools. You will manage and maintain CI/CD pipelines using appropriate tools to ensure smooth and efficient code deployments. You will maintain and enhance security best practices, including IAM policies, VPC configurations and data encryption. You will develop and maintain documentation for infrastructure and processes. 


Who you are  


Essential:

 

You will have extensive experience working with AWS services such as EC2, S3, s, Lambda, Glue and Athena.You will have experience working in an Agile or DevOps environment, with a focus on continuous integration and delivery.You will have strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar languages.You will have extensive experience in writing and managing CloudFormation templates to automate the provisioning of AWS resources. You will have SC clearance or be eligible to be SC cleared. 


Desirable:

 

You will have a familiarity with big data concepts and technologies, ideally in a telecommunications environment. You will be proficient in Azure DevOps. You will have knowledge of relevant UK legislation including IPA, DPA and GDPR.
