What will you be doing?
The selected candidate will help design, develop, engineer, and document the new Amazon Web Services (AWS) environment and infrastructure supporting our customer. Working with the customer to identify platform requirements and solutions, propose new concepts and work through challenges, and verify compliance for the platform based on the customers requirements. The AWS environment will be IL4/IL5 certified. Experience with Windows, Linux, Networking, and Security especially in a cloud environment will be the key to success with the buildout of this new platform.
Responsibilities:
Work as a team to design, build, and deploy a secure and compliant AWS platform Collaborate openly and frankly with all internal and external partners, such as Government Engineers, Contractor Engineers, Contractor Operations staff, Management, and 3rd party vendors Ensure timely delivery of all assigned Engineering Service Requests, removing any obstacles to completing work as scheduled Perform risk analysis of each assigned Engineering Service Request, and inform all stakeholders of the applicable risks Develop, maintain, and execute project plan in support of the platform development and future support Perform and coordinate project management activities in accordance with the customers project management team Discuss projects at a technical level Establish project milestones and monitor adherence to project scope, requirements, and schedules Coordinate with internal and external organizations by arranging, chairing, and facilitating meetings to establish project requirements and schedules while ensuring these are well understood and achievable Provide regular status reporting for project activities which is circulated to the key stakeholders. The specific schedule, distribution, and reporting requirements will be defined and agreed as part of the Project Initiation activities Develop and provide briefings to customers management stakeholders Provide meeting minutes documenting action items, milestones, and status Report project risks along with risk mitigation recommendations Develop and maintain documentation as required Other duties as assigned
