Job description

Infosys is seeking an AWS Lead with experience in GIS- This position’s primary responsibility will be to provide technical expertise and coordinate for day-to-day deliverables for the team. You will assist in the technical design of large business systems; builds GIS based AWS applications, interfaces between applications, understands data security, retention, and recovery. The role holder should be able to research on technologies independently to recommend appropriate solutions & should contribute to technology-specific best practices & standards; contribute to success criteria from design through deployment, including, reliability, cost-effectiveness, performance, data integrity, maintainability and scalability; contributes expertise on significant application components, program languages, databases, operating systems, etc., and guides/mentors the team throughout the development life cycle.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.

At least 5+ years of Information Technology experience

Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Oakland CA or Richardson, TX or be willing to relocate to the area. Candidate will be required to work during PST time zone. This position may require travel to project locations.

Preferred Qualification

Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, Step Functions, Lambda functions, APIs, RDS databases, IAM, and CloudWatch

Proficient in scripting languages like Python for automating tasks and developing custom plugins

Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies (e.g., Jenkins)

Knowledge of log management tools like Sumo Logic

Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools like Dynatrace

Knowledge in supporting Aws based GIS applications.

Experience with GIS (Arc GIS / Arc FM) monitoring

Proven experience provisioning and managing cloud infrastructure on AWS

Expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CloudFormation and Terraform

Strong understanding of security best practices for cloud environments

At least 5 years of experience in Project life cycle activities on development and maintenance projects.

Strong communication and Analytical skills

Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment

Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
