Cognizant is seeking an Azure Engineer for a full-time onsite role in Chicago, IL.

The salary range for this role is between $133,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and qualifications of the candidate. All applicants must have valid work authorization.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain containerized microservices using Docker, ensuring they are production-ready and can be easily deployed and managed. Oversee the deployment and management of foundational services, including load balancers, caching mechanisms (likely Redis), and messaging system. Monitor and optimize the performance of cloud infrastructure and services, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Implement best practices for cost management and optimization in the cloud environment. Ensure the cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and compliance requirements. Implement security measures such as encryption, access controls, and monitoring to protect sensitive data and services. Work closely with software engineers, data scientists, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure the delivery of high-quality cloud solutions. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior cloud engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, with a focus on designing and implementing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure. 4-6 years of experience with Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, and containerization technologies such as Docker. 4-6 years of experience with Terraform. Design and implement scalable, secure, and reliable cloud infrastructure on Azure or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) to support cloud workloads Experience in hybrid cloud environments Provision Services and resources on cloud using terraform Strong ability to demonstrate capabilities using Kubernetes

Qualifications:
